California Water Plan Update 2009 Workshops

The Department of Water Resources, in cooperation with 20 other State agencies, invites you to participate in a series of regional public workshops to gather and share information about the Public Review Draft – California Water Plan Update 2009.

Workshops have been scheduled during April and May for each of the 12 Water Plan regions. Dates and materials for each workshop are available on line at http://www.waterplan.water.ca.gov/regional/workshops/index.cfm.

In addition to discussing the Pubic Review Draft Update, workshops will feature the unique Regional Report for that area. The workshops are designed for representatives of water agencies and associations; local, state, federal, and Tribal governments; watershed and community groups; conservancies; and the public.

Key features of Update 2009 include 27 Water Resource Management Strategies (Volume 2), descriptions of local water conditions and efforts within the Regional Reports (Volume 3), and strategic recommendations and related actions (Volume 1). Please feel free to pass this information along to other interested parties.
